Summary: This two-day course focuses on the technical implementation of Washington's Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) at contaminated sites, including the new rule amendments effective January 1, 2024. MTCA applies to contaminated soil, groundwater, air, and surface water in freshwater and marine environments. The instructors include MTCA experts from Washington State Department of Ecology and environmental consulting firms.

Intended Audience: This training is intended for environmental consultants, agency staff, and others seeking an improved understanding of MTCA and its application to contaminated sites in Washington State.
Prerequisites: The Intro to MTCA course on Feb. 6, 2024, similar MTCA training, or working knowledge of MTCA is recommended for everyone attending this technical training.
Education Level: Intermediate to advanced (and a good refresher for those already familiar with the rule). General principles and more advanced topics are presented to ensure all levels benefit from attending.
Course Materials: 2024 updated course proceedings reflecting the recent rule amendments including presentation slides and resources.
Credit: 15 PDHs or 1.5 CEUs for completing 15 hours of instruction in three days.
Registration for MTCA Implementation Only (Feb. 7 - 8, 2024): $395, $295 per person for small groups of 2 to 9 people, and $250 per person for large groups of 10 or more on the same registration.
