Refund and Cancellation Policies (effective July 15, 2011 to present):
  • Nonrefundable Travel Expense Policy: The National Environmental Management Academy (NEMA) assumes no liability for any losses by its customers due to nonrefundable travel expenses, etc. that may result from the cancellation of an event. All customers are strongly encouraged to book fully refundable travel, or to confirm with NEMA staff that the training course has enough enrollment to proceed. It is the responsibility of the event attendee to ensure that no travel expense loss occurs, or to pay for any losses due to any unforeseen event that requires the attendee to change their travel arrangements. Under no circumstance, shall NEMA be liable for any travel expenses incurred by its customers.
  • Cancellations and Refund Policy: NEMA customers may cancel their registrations for any reason and receive a full refund if notification of cancellation is received fourteen or more calendar days prior to the event. A fifty percent refund is available thereafter, or 100 percent credit up to one week prior to the event. When cancelling within one week of the event, a full credit will be issued. This credit may be used for any future NEMA event of the same duration. For example, a two day credit may be used to attend two separate one-day events. Notification of cancellation must be provided by the registrant to NEMA staff prior to the event to be eligible for a refund or credit.
